Spaghetti Sunday

Spaghetti Sunday is a tradition for Italian American's families where everyone sits down for a big pasta meal together every Sunday.

I remember as a young child we were always at one of my grandparents for spaghetti. Often aunts, uncles, and cousins would be there. Always good times. Both of my grandmothers were stellar cooks, and I loved the traditions they taught us.

My mom and dad moved to Fort Collins long after I was married. This painting reminds me of her sunny kitchen with flowers on her island when we would all get together for 'Spaghetti Sunday'.
