"Kinetic"

Since becoming a fluid artist, I have had a fear of negative space. I'll never forget the first piece I worked on after it was dry. I saw the shape I wanted on the canvas and knew I'd have to paint parts of it white to achieve the look. I worked for hours at it and beat myself up the whole way because I didn't think I did a good job. I'm so grateful for my progress. I may still beat myself up at times, but nothing like I used to. Today I realize that I don't know unless I try and the world won't fall apart if it doesn't work out. Creating negative space lets the colors make a bolder statement. The piece as a whole can say more while using less. It gives the piece a great energy!

"Kinetic" is a 10x10 canvas in a black handmade wooden floating frame. Varnished for protection. Wired and ready for hanging.
