"Geode"

When I was a kid, my mom would take me to trade shows in New York. I was too young to be there but she always said to me, "Now remember, if anyone asks, you are twelve years old here!" I felt so cool! She was a jeweler and I got to see some of the most beautiful stones. The first one she ever bought me was Pyrite (fool's gold). I was obsessed! I am forty six and still have that piece today. Over the years, I have started collecting them myself. I am amazed that the Earth naturally creates such beautiful things like this. As an artist, I tend to make a lot of geodes. Recently, I made a big one with this same color palette so I knew I had to make a mini!

"Geode" is a 10x10 wood panel in a black wooden floating frame. Varnished for protection. Wired and ready for hanging.
