"Faces"

When this piece was first finished, it covered most of the canvas. I spent hours cutting in negative space and staring at it, not knowing where it was going. As time went on, I started seeing more and more faces in it. Artists get asked a lot, "How do you know when a piece is finished?" The truth is, we don't! When I really don't know, I will walk away from it for a long time, weeks, even months. One day, I will walk into the studio and just know when I see it. There was a lot of staring at this piece, but when I saw all of these faces staring back at me, I knew it was finished!

"Faces" is a 10x10 wood panel in a black wooden floating frame. Varnished for protection. Wired and ready for hanging.
