Bumble

8x8 oil on panel, black floater frame

I have a vague recollection of being scared when first introduced to "The Abominable Snow Monster" as a very small child. I mean, "abominable" and "monster" are right there in his name! He wasn't quite as scary as the Wicked Witch of the West (Side note: People who come up with names for bad-guys apparently like to be quite literal), still, he was pretty terrifying. But I also remember, by the end of the show, I wished I had my own Bumble that I could walk around on a leash. Imagine walking down the street with your very own Bumble? People asking you if he bites, and you laughing and saying, "naw … I had a buddy of mine pull all his teeth out. He's totally harmless". OMG, I soooo wished I had a Bumble.

But then, of course, I was just a kid. What did I know? We currently have a 10 pound dog who takes up 95% of the bed. If she were a Bumble, my husband and I would have to sleep in the guest room and I don't even want to think about the size of the poop bags needed for our walks. Sheesh. Kids never think things through.
