I love to walk and talk. It seems easier and less pressured to share vulnerable feelings when we are walking side by side. My brother visited from Atlanta this summer and we took a 7-mile hike. We talked about many different things, our parents, our upbringing, our kids, our fears about getting older, and our marriages. The conversation flowed and I felt very close to him. So, when someone in your life, says, "take a walk with me" recognize this as a reach for connection, put on those sneakers and go.
NOTE: This will not arrive before Christmas.
