Violets

Each cyanotype in my 25 Days of Minis collection is a direct representation of a flower from the garden created using the oldest photographic process. Dad and I spent endless hours in the garden together. I chose plants that we shared a love for or fascination with.

Violets have always held a very special place in our hearts as my parents were married in April when the purple violets carpeted the lawn outside the church. The church, only a few miles from our home, would unveil the carpet every year and we'd hear the story of their wedding day and sometimes go to see the violets.
