Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In was a variety/sketch comedy show with a stage set that looked like the 1960s got really drunk one night and threw up all over it. Sure, it was campy as hell, but it always had great guests like Flip Wilson, Tim Conway, Mel Brooks, Bob Newhart, Sonny & Cher, Rich Little, Bob Hope, Ringo Star, Jonathan Winters and the list just goes on and on. It also launched the careers of some hilarious comedic actresses you may remember, like Ruth Buzzi, Jo Anne Worley, Lily Tomlin and, of course, Goldie Hawn.
Who says blonds are dumb?
Oh, right. Everyone.
If common wisdom is to be believed, thinking isn't something blonds are particularly good at, so you'd be forgiven for assuming Goldie Hawn is just another ditsy blond, especially after watching her on Laugh-in. But, turns out, Goldie Hawn is actually a very shrewd Hollywood mogul. She's an accomplished actor, producer, and director and she owns a production company. AND! Way back in 1993, she was listed as one of the "Richest Women in Showbiz" in People Weekly Magazine, along with Oprah, Liz Taylor , Dolly Parton, and Madonna.
So yeah, who's the dumb blond now? I mean, besides Marylin Monroe … (tho, I'm pretty sure she was lying about both being dumb and being blond).
