Threads of Stillness

A time of joy and connection with the earth.

I have fond memories of my grandparents' farm, especially their beautiful gardens, which bloomed with vegetables and flowers every spring. The air was always fresh with the promise of new growth, and everything felt full of life. I didn't realize then what that healthy vibrant feeling was, but I would love to experience it again as an adult.

As children, we loved exploring the long dirt driveway lined with maypops, or passion flowers. We'd carefully pick their centers and turn them into tiny people, floating them in water for hours. Another favorite pastime was blowing bubbles through morning glories soaked in soapy water--simple joys. I still remember being surprised that flowers could be used for blowing bubbles. 

Those visits were a time of simplicity and contentment, where we felt happy and connected to nature and family. The memories still fill me with warmth.
