When I was first in art school, I was very precise with my blending and color shifts. I didn't like any brushstrokes to seep through, and I loved a smooth surface. But as time went by, I enjoyed the idea of doing less and getting more out of the effort I put in. I wanted mood and drama and spontaneity. I think the tango encapsulates all of that and that's why I kept this one very loose and spontaneous.
