Optimism

I grew up in a family that loves flags—flags for our country, flags for our state, flags for our favorite sports teams and universities, signal flags, burgees, banners, and pennants….. you name it, we have it. My grandfather put a flagpole up in his front yard, and my father has given me flags as birthday presents through the years. So, it seemed only natural that I would be drawn to painting flags and maybe creating some new ones of my own.

Flags can carry a lot of weight simply by their color choice. A flag can be for fun, but it can also show people your values.
