Movie Theater Munchies

Oil on Board with Black Wood Floater Frame

My mom didn't buy junk food and candy. Almost never. When we went to the movies she would bring carrot sticks and celery. She never saw the need to buy popcorn or candy. I longed for the Dots. The bright box and yummy looking candies called to me. The first thing I did when I was old enough to have my own money and go to the movies without mom, was buy a box of Dots. I tore open the box and popped one in my mouth. What a disappointment, it was awful. Even worse than the Dot was that mom was right, again.
