I came to K-dramas late. But I have compensated for the late start and binged on many k-dramas. My favorite dramas are the sageuk, with the historical costumes and sets, they transport me to another world.
I often read about diversity in casting, and while I am appreciative of that, I love the seeing how a culture views the world through its own eyes. I think this is why I love K-dramas so much. When we write our own stories, we aren't the funny friend or the comic relief. We aren't the awkward sidekick or the wallflower no one notices. In k-dramas, I delight in the fact that Korean stories are told through Korean eyes. They are heroes and villains and many shades in between. So of course, a Korean inspired painting could not be skipped for the minis.
