| This mini painting depicts an egret in the typical habitat of a saltwater marsh. For some reason, I frequently find myself painting Great egrets in the warm colors of early morning light or the warm light of dusk. Sunrises and sunsets are always rendering glorious colors, but the sky in this painting reminds me of my youth, when we saw a sky like this, we would ask what color the sky was. The answer was frequently, "sky-blue pink". |
