Favorite Places
We all have places that are so special to us. They make us feel like everything is right with the world. This is my place. It's a swim club that started as a serpentine quarry. When water broke through, it became a swimming hole. Over 100 years later, it's a beautiful, natural pool. Each year, members are invited to hang their self-created family flags, as seen in the painting.
When I walk in the gate of this favorite place, my shoulders relax and I feel like I have traveled afar. I swim my laps and just enjoy being there. Aahhhhhhh!
I painted this watercolor on location. Favorite Places is presented in a white mat with a 9 x 12 white wooden frame. It is protected by UV resistant glass.
