By the Bridge

A lot has changed in the town that I live in since I moved to the area in 2006. The business at this corner was a Crepe place that I never went into before it closed. But it looked good. With a big yellow awning…or maybe it was a sign. I used to feel nervous about change. I even fought it for a bit when it came to some artwork that was impacted by growth. But change is coming. One way or another. Someone said to me at a tender time that we live in one big tapestry. Each layer of fabric adding more and more to the whole. And I see that so clearly now. I want a rich tapestry. One with lots of layers. And the only way that happens is by being ok with somethings getting covered, and shifted, and changed.
