Everybody should believe in something. I believe I'll have a cocktail. Make mine an old fashion! A classic cocktail to make bourbon even sweeter and add some fruit. Traditionally, it's made with a sugar cube, a few drops of bitters, a slice of an orange and a cherry. Muddle it up, add ice and bourbon. I've had this drink in dive bars and it was palatable, it did the job. I've also had it fabulously made in a five star hotel and it was fantastic. Now I use maple syrup instead of sugar and I wipe the glass with an orange peel just for the essence.
