I almost gave up on this one!
This painting was a real challenge, with its subtle complexities almost leading me to start over. It reminded me of teaching music to my Montessori students, where I set high expectations.
When preparing for a performance one year, I doubted the students' skill level and said, “This one might be too hard." One student spoke up and said, “We can do it!” He was a leader, and the class happily committed to the quest. The result was both thrilling and exceptional.
